1945
Together with three employees, Erwin Grimm founds "Erwin Grimm Metall-Präzisionswerkstätte" in Mainflingen.
1956
Grimm commences the manufacture of delivery units for all Roland series. From now on, inking and dampening units are also series-manufactured.
1969
Entire production capacity placed at the disposal of "Roland Offset-Maschinenfabrik", a key account. A splendid production plant - christened the Roland Hall - is built in Mainflingen as part of this cooperation.
1975
Company founder Erwin Grimm is awarded the German Order of the Republic for services to local politics and industry.
1988
E & K Grimm GmbH is renamed MAN Roland Mainhausen GmbH and becomes part of the Druckmaschinen Group.
1998
First PC-controlled color control system.
2000
ROLAND 500 with 18,000 sheets per hour.
2003
ROLAND 900, XXL in format 7/7B and format 8.
2004
Introduction of ROLAND DirectDrive: direct drive for sheetfed presses.
2004
Introduction of ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor: cold foil laminating in sheetfed printing.
2006
MAN Roland becomes independent.
2007
Strengthening of service competencies: active marketing of PRINTVALUE with printservices®, printcom®, printnet® and printadvice®.
2008
MAN Roland becomes manroland.
