Fastest press. The CROMOMAN's performance potential pushes production speed to the limits in daily implementation. Minimal change-over times also accelerate the CROMOMAN's preparation for the next production.

Paper savings. The printable surface is expanded by metal-back blankets and an exceptionally narrow lock-up slot. This reduces paper costs.

printnet and PECOM control. Press-oriented automation through PECOM, part of the printnet family, encompasses all aspects of electronics, electrics, mechanics, and software relating to presses. printnet's modular design can be adjusted to the specific requirements of your printing company, resulting in a user-friendly network in your company.

High availability. In case of a malfunction, the TeleSupportCenter is readily available for problem-solving. On standby 24/7, an expert team of mechanics and IT specialists is there to help reduce downtimes to a minimum. Approximately 95 percent of all inquiries can thus be answered online.

Comprehensive support. The manroland project management offers a comprehensive consulting service including the press concept, manufacturing, assembly, launching and press optimization up to the following customer support.

High degree of automation. Extensive automation options* reduce waste, shorten makeready times, and lead to lower staff expenditures. In newspaper printing, flexibility means having a larger creative scope. The CROMOMAN can be just as easily used for the production of high-quality newspapers and magazines as for printing heatset-coldset combinations. For new and creative products today, tomorrow, and beyond.

Versatile product design. The CROMOMAN can produce with multiple webs in one folder. These webs can also be printed in parallel presslines and conveyed to a common folder by turning units.

Heatset printing quality. The CROMOMAN can do more than just print newspapers. With heatset equipment*, individual heatset webs can be flexibly combined in one product. This not only enhances the value of the newspaper itself, it also appeals to advertising customers, for example. Another option is newspaper production during the night - as coldset-heatset or just as coldset - and heatset production with 16 pages per web in magazine format during the day.

Versatile web leads. Paper always finds the right path through the CROMOMAN. A printing unit in eight-tower design offers the right configuration for every job: from 4/4-color print on one web to 2/2-color print on two webs or 1/1-color print on four webs.

Flexible press concept. The CROMOMAN is available in widths of two or three plates. This also enables a combination of the 2-1 principle and the extended options provided by 3-page wide production. There is always the possibility for a two-page jump, giving the CROMOMAN the necessary flexibility for new printed products.

Innovative folding systems. manroland has a large experience in folder technologies, and has set standards for decades with its own developments. Modular folding systems and varied system components are available for combined coldset-heatset presses. Folder equipment* such as a quarter fold, gluing, and stitching, provides the technical basis for a large degree of value-added depth in inline production.

...in the editorial department. Creating a newspaper always involves time pressures and a hectic pace, so it is good to have a point of perpetual calm. The CROMOMAN printing unit offers consistently high operating reliability and printing quality. Solid as a rock.

High-quality design. The CROMOMAN's printing units are designed to consistently create highquality products at high speeds. The massive side frames of the printing units, with generously proportioned crossbars, are torsion-free and produce minimal vibrations. The register is precise even at maximum performance - from start-up all the way to peak production speed.

Less vibrations. The stretched cylinder arrangement in the printing couple, combined with the use of blanket plates, reduces vibrations to a minimum. Furthermore, the CROMOMAN has no bearer rings, thus ensuring a uniform printing image.

Precise film inking unit. The film inking unit with presetting offers high precision for balanced ink coverage - even for difficult subject arrangements and at all speeds.

Contactless turbo dampening unit. The three-roller dampening unit operates without contact and enables precise dampening solution application throughout the entire run. The turbo dampening unit guarantees a high level of quality, even with heatset production.

Less waste. manroland has developed high-quality ClosedLoop control systems* for register control. These systems automatically and reliably provide constant quality and ensure low waste through precise registers and perfect folds. Of course, it is also possible to integrate color control systems.
